Sughandhisri Krishnamoorthi is a Vocalist, Lyricist and a Music Composer. She has several years of experience in Carnatic Music as a vocalist and has composed more than 200 composition on various deities, with the grace of Mahaperiyava , in which around 60 compositions are in praise of Mahaperiyava . She started learning Carnatic Music from her very young age of 5. Her first guru is Angachi Mami and Smt Sankari , then she learned from her guru Smt Syamala Gopalakrishnan , palakkad , for 3 years learning varnams keerthanams with Manodharma at the young age of 9 years, and has won many prizes in interschool competitions, continued advanced learning from smt Janaki Venugopal, palakkad Sri Srivanchiam Mani Iyer, she also learned from Smt S.Neela Mami of Salem during her college days, secured many prizes in music competitions conducted by Rotary club, Rotaract club, Ramakrishna mission, Salem, Ramalingavallar rolling cup, Salem etc. Also learned from Gomathi Mami, the mother of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri T V Sankaranarayanan. For advanced training she was fortunate to learn from her guru Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Padmabhushan, Guruji Sri TV Gopalakrishnan. In later years, learned from Kalaimamani Dr. Rukmini Ramani Mami, the daughter of the great composer Sri Papanasam Sivan learning some of her compositions. Sughandhisri has been giving concerts for several years, in temples, and other venues in many places and also performed overseas. She has performed in Thiruvaiyaru Thiagaraja Aradhana, and has performed in Doordharshan Kendra Chennai. Apart from Vocal Music she plays veena, keyboard and guitar too. She released an Album of Kandhar Sashti Kavacham tuned by her as Ragamalika in 13 ragas and devotional songs composed tuned by her with her lyrics in 1990 singing along with her sister Lalitha. The Album was released by playback singer The Legend Sri SP Balasubramaniam and Smt Vanijayaram. It was marketed by Audiofine company recorded in Media Artist Studio. She is creative in writing Carnatic songs, poems in both English and Tamil. Her English poems got published internationally for best poet receiving a trophy from International society of Poets, USA. She is MCom, Postgraduate in commerce secured first Rank in BCom University degree examination in Sarada college, Salem, completed MBA, CA Intermediate, a certified Accounting Technician from ICAI. Along with her music career, she had also been working in finance and IT Industry for around 2 and half decades in various positions.
